My research focuses on the dynamics of flooding in coastal wetlands. We are interested in understanding the ways salt marshes protect coasts from storm surge, and the underlying physics that dominate these systems. We investigate these questions through directly measuring tides in a local salt marsh and running experiments with numerical models. My work contributes to the scientific knowledge used to create coastal resiliency and management plans.
