Built a geospatial decision support tool through a 20-hour per week graduate research assistantship sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) called “Enhancing Coastal Resilience in Connecticut” in collaboration with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) and the University of Connecticut. Job functions included conducting field research, laboratory analysis, data analysis and assistance in report writing. Encouraged the use of nature-based shoreline management practices in Connecticut.
