Kayla began at CIRCA as a Center for Energy & Environmental Law (CEEL) Field Placement extern in January 2022. She is currently on the Legal Policy Team focusing on Resilient Zoning research and has prepared documents for a toolkit that will educate municipalities on ways to instill resilience within their communities. Kayla holds a master’s degree in Energy & Environmental Management and a Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Environmental Planning and Management from the University of Connecticut. She has resurrected the Conservation Commission for her hometown of Pomfret and has since onboarded two other members. She is passionate about the environment, climate resilient planning & policy, and leaving a better planet for future generations.
